I'm a pretty big fan of using static site generators a la Jekyll over a CMS, although I wouldn't mind trying something minimal like Bolt or Grav in the future. Wordpress, Drupal, etc are just way too big and clunky (in my opinion) when sometimes I want something simple to get a site off the ground.

If I create any pages, then I mostly use Webacappella Responsive, Xara or X5 in the Pro versions.

Complete packages, such as Wordpress or Joomla have quite a lot of functions, but in my opinion they are also more vulnerable.

In addition, I prefer to be able to incorporate third-party code at any time and anywhere. This is especially helpful for niche sites, with which you can earn a few euros at the same time.

I feel like Wordpress is the easiest to use for sure. While it is made for blogging, I have yet to use it for such.
