I´m an IPB fan, more the way Invision is :)
If I need to choose a CMS, which one should I pick? (to make a non-community driven site)
Thanks

I'd stick with wordpress. If you know a little css here and there, you can make it work for you. Plus- nulled plugins galore ;)

I used Wordpress and Drupal basically. My opinion is that Wordpress is much more userfriendly and have a lot more very affordable themes.

Drupal is good, but it requires good knowledge to use it properly. But it is changing very quickly, so do not hesitate to go for a ride on their website.

The other, very little used, I can not help you ...

I used version 3, and I found it very difficult to handle. I don't know if it is now easier in version 4?

Hmm.. An interesting question, but my choice drives into a Joomla CMS joined into a IPS forum software as you said. My option is easy to explain: Movility.
Yes, joomla have the most extended and easy-to-configurate ACP and allow you to do miracles with widgets and themes lol
Wordpress is more like a news site at my opinion :)

I can grant you a Spanish support but you must write it in english too since the only language allowed in this forum is english.

For more information about this, please read the Community Rules up this message.

I feel Wordpress is more blogs, and Joomla is more CMS driven. I know most people use Wordpress, but I cannot really figure out why. It seems so bloated in my opinion, and very slow to use out of the box.

To me wordpress is much easier than joomla. Besides you will find a lot of free templates for wordpress than joomla.

I am a wordpress user. Wordpress has a lot of plugins you can use to make your sites faster. Lots of free templates and if you are a developer, it makes your work easier. I have been using wordpress for a long time to build blogs and websites. If you are a newbie on wordpress and not a developer, it may seem useless but if you go online and find wordpress tutorial especially on youtube, i bet you, you will change your mind and you will understand why we love wordpress.

Joomla, WordPress, but if you wouldlike to learn harder from community boards, try phpbb3, mybb or vbuletin.
And if you want IP.Board try IP.Pages.

Well, not sure about Joomla but for Wordpress there is a proper (updated) login bridge again. So now IPB logins can be used on the Wordpress site, and they will Sync. So that alone is really worth it.

Wordpress is going to better than Joomla for fast sites. Has a lot of framework with visual builder that allows you to build a site in less time and have as well a very good design.

I have used IP Pages with IPB Forum before and worked very well, I have also used wordpress and just styled it to look exactly the same. Depends you could also pull the latest posts from a certain forum via php and mysql to intergrate into your main website. I have done that in the past with PHPBB and IPB.
