What's the best linux version for a newbie

Hey guys, I want to move from windows to linux and I found lot of versions and I'm confused a little here :(

Try Ubuntu or Debian  :)

You can try Ubuntu and alternatives like Kubuntu (Ubuntu with KDE GUI), you also can lean to use ArchLinux with Manjaro :)
For servers best solutions are Debian, Ubutuntu Server and Centos.

Ubuntu or Debian are the best options for you. I hardly recommend using Debian 9

CentOS is way easier than Debian or Ubuntu.

You can use yum or dnf (in CentOS 8):
yum install epel-release
yum install htop
yum update

Compare these commands to Debian.
