    An error occurred (500 Error)
  • 2. What were you doing when the problem occurred?Migration from one host to another

Versions:
  • 5. What version of IP.B are you using?:4.2
  • 6. What PHP version are you running?:7.3
Required links:
  • 7. Who is your web hosting provider?:DigitalOcean
  • 8. What is your board URL? (you can send it via PM if we ask you for it): ask me for give you board name.
IP.B Package/Miscellaneous
  • 9. Where did you download the IP.B installation package? (please provide a link) : invision-virus
  • 10. What did you try to solve the problem? : Check internet posibilities

Customization:
  • 12. Do you have any hooks/mods installed? : yes, but on the old host they went.


  • 13. Are you using a custom or default skin? : custom,  but on the old host they went.

I am sorry for the delay in the reply. Apache 500 =.htaccess problem or a critical PHP error. If your web hosting provider supresses the errors by default (not displaying them), then Apache on PHP critical errors will shutdown connection due to security reasons (because PHP always displays critical errors).

In order to fix it, enable PHP display_errors option from 0 to 1.

i have this issue also when trying to manage members or view topics on my ipb 3.4.9 forums

A 500 Error could be a lot of different things.

It is possible that the problem is with the host that your forum is hosted, did you tried to use for example free hosting websites with cpanel or local hosts like XAMPP?

For IPB 3.4.x you need PHP5.5 Worck really good and for Ips 4.x you need Php7.3.

PHP errors are the most common reason. Most shared hosting providers suppresses errors by default.
