The best solution is to use the cloudflare CDN ;)
Be careful to hide your DNS record to provider :D

CloudFlare is a spyware. I do not recommend to use it, because it can see all the data user sends. Use Google Cloud.

OVH + Cloudflare, don't buy OVH's CDN, as Cloudflare will take care of that for you.
Cloudflare, can block most attacks, and with OVH's huge infrastructure and default Anti-DDoS measurements, I think even the biggest attacks will be blocked.
However, some types of attacks are always able to get through.

I use TrentaHost at the moment, not had any troubles with them so far but probably not had any attacks at the moment, i'm not sure if cloudflare is free but its probably worth getting if you're a target.

The best thing you can do if you don't have much knowledge is to use hyper filter, they are very good.

In my opinion, the best way to protect against DDOS is CloudFlare. I use it myself in several of my projects and I am very pleased. He never disappointed me.

If you are looking for a cheap VPS with really good DDOS protection all-around you can try SeFlow, it's an italian company, they have a lot of POP and antiDDOS it's kinda their core business. Really cheap, as i said!

Doesn't seem to show how much bandwidth they protect against. Most of the cheaper range offer up to 10 GBPS but hard to compare without this info

Their basic mitigation was 1GB in 2016, full scalable to 100GB to a maximal extent of 4.2TB. Now I think that 10G it's the default, but you can easily scale up if you're in trouble. They do carrier grade and AS mitigation, I've seen their infrastructure absorbe an huge amount of traffic (pps or saturation, either).

Here for example an old offer:

Hope can help someone that need this kind of service

Regards!

I prefer siteground for all of my hosting needs, their customer service is top notch and they are very responsive via chat. I have been with them for a few years now.

I'm currently on leaseweb with a dedicated box. So far haven't had much issue, nor much of interest on analytics, but I also have a cloudflare protection on top of it. Both have excellent customer service also.
