index.php not loading certain modules

Describing the problem:
  • 1. What problem are you having?
    When trying to enter forums, profiles, topics, comments etc. it either defaults to board index, or content not loaded.
  • 2. What were you doing when the problem occurred?
    Incremental upgrade from 4.1.x to 4.3.6
  • 3. Picture/Video of the problem: (an error code should be pasted here, please use "code" bbcode)

Versions:
  • 4. What version of IP.B are you using?
    4.3.6
  • 5. What PHP version are you running?
    7.3
Required links:
  • 6. Who is your web hosting provider?
    1&1
  • 7. What is your board URL? (you can send it via PM if we ask you for it)

IP.B Package/Miscellaneous
  • 8. Where did you download the IP.B installation package? (please provide a link)
    Downloaded from
  • 9. What did you try to solve the problem?
    Disabled customizations, re-uploaded files, ran background processes
  • 10. What username and password can we use to see the problem.
    None required, guests can browse
  • Long standing site, installed about v2.x and upgraded periodically, all packages from invision-virus over the years (thanks!)
Customization:
  • 11. Do you have any hooks/mods installed?
    Instant Informing AJAX 10 seconds, no hooks apart from downloads
  • 12. Are you using a custom or default skin?
    Default skin

I did a clean install on the same server, it is having the same issue. So my guess is a PHP extension is missing, but all were green on the requirements when performing the upgrade... Weird

first you should know 4.3.x is in general crap but it should not have such issues you have
1&1 is in general not a good host for ips
try another php version like 7.0 or 7.1 - i think it is in general not coded or tested on 7.3
btw there is a good reason why the standard installation on servers is never the newest php version ;)

Go in your AdminCP and disable friendly URLs.
