2 Completely different games, if you want Military Simulation, like Realism Units, Exile/Zombies and much more, go for ArmA 3

If you want Roleplay servers that are semi-decent, go for GTA V.

It depends. For Life stuff, Arma 3 is dying, because all the life communities steal and it's an endless cycle of shit. Once FiveM releases OneSync, it'll definitely be the powerhouse. To me, the thing that turns me off is the limit of 32 people to a server, especially for a map as big as Los Santos, which will go away with OneSync.

Big fan of Grand Theft Auto series here! I played all the games, i woul love to see, for example a remastered (HD version) of GTA: Vice City. I know i could use mods but there are lots of bugs. Anyway, now i don't want to play games that much, i just get bored very fast.

Wow, this is a difficult decision, both have very different characteristics, each with its game strategy. I believe that being a more strategist, I like Arma 3 more than GTA.

i prefer arma 3 beacuse Battle Royale, but i prefer Gta beacuse of the Story and Multiplayer. Attractive game and Open World.

Both games make a lot of fun, but only if you play with at least three people. (my personal opinion)

honestly, both are great games.
for single player, no mods.
I'd say GTA is going to be what you are looking for, its situations are diverse, but can sometimes be repetitive so i recommend not sticking to one weapon.
I find Arma's single player campaign(s) (depending if you want to consider the 'one shots' too) can be, a little, 'simple'

for multiplayer, no mods.
I'd say Arma is a better choice, its communities, while sometimes small, and can sometimes be a little demanding, are a great fun.
I find GTA Online can be, a little difficult, baring doing the online 'story' missions, other players can be a great 'limiter' for playing.

for single player, with mods.
GTA, alot of wacky stuff, and some really cool mods there to play with.
Arma's mod area, while some mods can 'do' single player, not only is it more difficult to set up (needing to find compatible campaigns, or setting up sandboxes) mods tend to lean more toward online play.

for multiplayer, with mods.
honestly 50/50
GTA's multiplayer modding scene seems more focused on single player (not talking about GTA Online hackers, but FiveM and the like) while there are good FiveM severs, its becoming quite difficult to find good, English speaking servers that fit your play style
Arma's multiplayer modded does exist, but its almost the same with FiveM, a lot of unpopulated servers.

best, but shotty, advice I can give, if you want more populated servers for these series, is to wait for the next game for each to come out, doubt both will be coming out anytime soon though.
who knows though, there might be a resurgence of players for these games.

Really for me it depends on what i am feeling. I love both games but for me it comes down to which one can you do more of and for me that is GTAV only because i have been car modelling and creating scripts for LSPDFR. But again i still love both games, them both are great!
